Hello everyone,
Complete welding newbie here. I tend to learn best by doing and as I have a few projects coming up this summer I want to do that will require welding I am diving in head first. After letting a neighbor "borrow" my last welder I never saw it again . Good excuse to go shopping right? So I recently picked myself up a new PowerTIG 200DV. This is a upgrade from the prior unit I had; a everlast 200st stick welder that could do lift start after I added a ck torch.

Some of the projects I am hoping to tackle
-Sand Muller
-Cradle for my lathe stand so I can add leveling feet and a wider stance
-Mounting platform for my mill
-Belt Grinder
-Tube Bender
-Misc aluminum projects and repairs

My background is in design and fabrication as required by living out in the country and more recently diy cnc and electronics designing machines and cnc controllers "Like This" Welding will be a new skill for me and one I think will serve me very well. I look forward to asking questions and sharing my projects.
