Power MTS 252 STi

I just bought one of these MTS 252sti the other day and am still waiting delivery. I’m wanting to run 035 dual shield with this unit. Will this machine run dual shield. Does anyone have any experience with dual shield on this machine?

There's no reason you can't. It won't be accurate in synergic mode, but standard mode with the optional flux core drive rolls should work just fine.

I've used it with the 221. Synergic is pretty touchy anyway, I usually try and avoid it. I got another set of flux drive rollers, and works just fine. Should be good on the 252.

Synergic works well. I just think a lot of people don't understand how simple it is to use. With flux, though it is not set up for that. Did not see that at first.

I just pro-ordered the MTS275 last month. It is an upgraded MTS 252. My question is which stick rods does the MTS 252 like? My other machine liked the Lincoln Excaliber and ESABs rods.

Excalibur is fine. Can't go wrong there.
