Hello from Florida
I’m not a welder at all but looking to buy a machine. I tried a Lincoln from LOWES, the most expensive one they had, and it died after a few hours of welding. It was a mig. I’m sure since I didn’t know what I was doing I burned it up. I returned it and haven’t bothered since. I have a friend that has a commercial shop and they have a bunch of big welders so I just go there if I need something done. The last time I needed a new neck on a trailer and the guy set me up and let me at it. My welds sucked but there were plenty so it should be fine. He made sure the critical welds were good. I was hooked after that so I’d like to get one for my garage. Anything really large I’ll still go to his shop but smaller stuff like trailer repairs I can do myself.
I’m just looking to learn about the everlast welders. There is a lot of information about them out there, some good , some bad. I just want to go into any purchase with my eyes open. The advantage to Lowe’s was I could just take it back if it didn’t work to my expectations. It broke the first time I used it, again could of been me, but I just returned it. You can’t do that with an everlast. I want to make sure of my purchase and can’t imagine a better place than here where people own and use them daily.
