Question MTS 251si spot/stitch timer controls

Hi, new to the forums and have a question on specifically the stitch timer settings and how to access/set them. Since this is a pulse machine, I guess as a work around I could use a very low pulse frequency to accomplish this, but in the manual it says you can set it from 1-15 seconds between zaps. Can anyone enlighten me on how to access the setting for this function? Granted I've only had the welder for a brief period, but I don't see it as obvious as yet.

    Gee,

Maybe the setting can only be invoked via the STD MIG setting, and not the SYN or PLS.

Please let us all know how it goes, as you'll probably figure it out shortly.

2T is a starting point, with standard mode selected. Select button highlights the spot stitch.

Thanks for the reply. I could use a little clarification. So you're saying in standard mig mode you press the 2t selection and stitch will be available? How do I select the frequency? This is the MTS 251si, and I don't see any indicator for stitch. Just for pulse settings. Is there some special mode it goes into for stitch (like holding a selection button down for programming such functions?

Thanks in advance for any insight you can offer,

    Dean.

I was thinking about the 252, not the 251. The 251 has not spot stitch timer. If you have an older manual that hasn't been updated yet, this type is in there, but the rest of the information does not include spot/stitch info.
