New Everlast Lightning MTS 225 w/ AC/DC TIG & LCD Screen: Only $2000
Yeah,
I just noticed this new Everlast unit, which is mostly just like the new MTS275, with its digital LCD interface, but at 200 amp output, instead of 250 amp, and at a nice introductory price of $2000.
I mean, it approximates Everlast’s 221STi unit, which was a revolutionary unit in the industry not long ago. But the MTS225 adds the LCD interface, which I hope to see on some EXT units at some point. I mean, the schematic-style interface on my 210EXT is great, but an LCD executed well, like on the Lightning models can contain more features and settings without taking up any added interface space, so setting adjustments can be larger to see, i.e., not so “squinty”.
I also noticed Everlast has a new Single/Double Pulsed i-MIG 353DPi unit too, which is akin to the new 253DPi, but with more amperage/voltage.
Rock On, Everlast!

Yeah,
All the typical welding processes: MIG, DC TIG, AC TIG, and Stick, on one unit for about $2000, in a refined, advanced, digital unit!
Just five years ago that was almost unthinkable. And it being priced at $2000 would have been thought of as delusional, five years ago.
Another victory for Everlast, market forces, and welding customers!
Wheeeee.............

Yeah,
That new Lightning 225 is compelling as "Best MTS Yet".
I liked the spray-arc for MIG in the video, too. The key, extra AC waveforms for TIG is brilliant. Of course, the LCD screen seems to be showing the way for more Everlast models going forward.

And,
Here's a new one (on the MTS 225) that I'm watching right now!
