Thread: New Pedal - 200DX

    Default New Pedal - 200DX

So had my 200DX for almost 8 years now and have been using the stock foot pedal that came with it. Its had it fair share of problems (belt slipping, bad POT, etc). I think its finally time to retire it and get a new one. I was looking at the NOVA ones but am not sure if they would work as the 200DX isnt listed as being supported explicitly. The 200DV is listed but not the DX. I was looking at getting this one listed below. Im pretty sure I have a 22K Ohm POT but not certain. Welder is at my shop and its late and Im tired and of course I forgot to check prior......

    Thanks,

    Yeah,

Some years ago I believe Everlast unified their amptrol devices to 25K.

My 2014/2015 210EXT had an OEM 47/50K pot on the pedal, but now they're all 25K, I'm pretty sure. But, my 201EXT still works brilliantly with a CK Worldwide SteadyGrip amptrol device that has a 25K pot, probably because the 210EXT is a digital unit.

Anyway, your older 200DX (or 200DV) would undoubtedly work fine with a NOVA or SSC pedal that has a 22 or 25K pot.

Mark, the Everlast rep will probably respond to this thread soon and have the more concise answer on this point.

Yeah my 200DX has had it's share of pedal issues. Biggest headache was the micro switch. 2 fell apart on me.
Actually considered making a more ergonomic pedal myself. The stock one is a bit big and bulky
and the pedal angle is a bit awkward on my ankles. Especially post Covid. Covid tore my knees and ankles up!
BTW, my DX was the first year with the plastic hood over the knobs.

Was it the covid that tore up your ankles and knees, or was it all the walking around we all had to do to find places that were still open and doing business, thanks to our trusted leaders, that tore up your ankles and knees?
