I can't find any feedback on the I-Mig205. Who has one and how do you like it compared to the I-Mig200?

For the longest time i used the IMIG200 and i was very happy with it and to be honest i never gave much thought to using the 205 .
my reasons where very simple, The Imig 200 did what i wanted and i was very happy with it.
Keep in mind i do not like anything lower in amps than the IMIG200 as most of the stuff i mess around with is up to 3/8" but mostly 3/16" - 1/4".
I have had the occasional customer stop in and give both units a try to see what model they preffered but i did not really pay a lot of attention to this.
That is untill a few weeks ago when a freind asked me what model he should be looking at
He popped in a couple of weeks ago and i honestly thought given his needs and price point he would prefer the IMIG200 . We never got that far after playing with the IMIG 205 for a hour or so including the spool gun he told me he did not even want to try the 200 he was that impressed with the 205 ( he uses a Lincoln right now)
I have to admit that even though our Tech guys have been telling me all along that the 205 is a sweet unit up untill actually spending some time welding with it i did not realise just how nice it is.
One other point should be mentioned the specs calls for a 20-40 lb roll for the 205 but we loaded a 10lb spool and had no problems ( the drive in the 205 is a little better than that of the 200) The only downside is the Portability the IMIG 200 is very portable with the slim case compared to the 205 unit
Cheers
I will chime in here as well.
The 205, for the price and power, is my overall favorite. Other than switching to the spool gun for aluminum, which take time, it covers all the thing most people would need. It is not as nice looking compared to the 200 and it's heavier. It takes a 40lbs roll (though I ran 10), the 200 is maxed out with a 10lbs roll.
I currently use the 200 with a spool gun for aluminum and the 250P for steel. But I was never unhappy with the 205's I have used.

I have an Imig 205 with a spool gun, it is a fine unit, the thing I like about it is it is 160A stick capable as well, that means you can burn any type of rod up to and including 1/8 inch rods with it. I researched the Imig 205 alot before I bought it, it is sold all over the world under different brand names under the model Syn mig 205 and has pretty good reviews, from places like Germany, France or where ever. Everlast has taken it under their wing as the Imig 205 and I bought from them because you cannot beat their price or service. That's why all my stuff is Everlast. The spool gun I got with it when I bought from Duncan is a real beauty a full 200 amp spool gun that would cost an arm and a leg if you bought the same thing from the blue guys.
If you buy one I suggest you order the spool gun with it, the spool gun is a real beefy unit and you won't be dissapointed.
Some additional info on the IMIG 205, most people don't know that it is like having 3 welders in one package, It is a very good mig , and a very capable stick welder (important to me cause I'm a stick guy), and with the spool gun you can do aluminum or steel with it. Today I had a fellow in the shop, older guy like myself, he never welded in his life so I gave him my spare autodark helmet and said watch what I do with the mig and then gave him the mig gun, he ran about 5 inches of bead on some 1/8 inch plate, his bead wandered abit but was as good a looking bead as anyone elses. The Imig 200 has good reviews from the people who have one and the Imig 205 works fine for me. Bottom line inverter migs are the only way to go, smooth and easy.
