Default PP 256 plasma function question

Getting the plumbing and electrical set up in here for the new machine and thought I had better ask before aking a mistke. We are an automotive shop and as most of you probably know, there is a trend right now (maybe forever) of filling your tires with pure nitrogen instead of atmospheric. So we have a nitrogen seperator/generator in house and I was wondering. It would be just as easy to run my plasma cutter on nitrogen as on air. I know nitrogen is generally considered to be better, and since it is coming out of the unit is it totally pure, clean and dry. Can the unit run on nitrogen or are there gas speific components that have to be replaced?

    Yes,
I have used it with Nitrogen. We have a dealer that demos it with nitrogen. But you will need a good regulator to allow the flow you need. You may see some change in the cut characteristics, but, still it does a good job.

    Default problem?

Hooked up the pasma torch and it seems I have no pilot arc. Not sure wht I am dong wrong if anything. I can hear what i guess is an arc between the hf points inside the unit. anybody help? were closing now I wont be able to check back until morning...

Call Mike tonight. Make sure your pilot arc wire is connected securely. There might be something off behind the junction on the panel. The pilot arc creates a ground through the torch itself. But the HF really doesn't have much to do with the arc once the arc fires. Check that the consumables are tight and everything is in its place.

Make sure you have the torch in the Negative terminal.

I checked the forums and that's what it ounded like. I didnt get any kind of confirmation or anything so could one of the holy mod lords look see if maybe it didnt go through?

We have some updates going in to that part of the site. Main thing: Keep your receipt. If you do not have one, get one from ext 202.
