So I have finally had a chance to put a little bit of time into using my new unit. So far I have only good things to say, minus a few minor items. Thank muhammed the machine arrived pretty much in perfect shape. The box had a hole poked in the top of it, which scared me a little. I got the unit out and it had one tiny little dent in the sheetmetal on top. (it also has a couple others that I have noticed since then) I imagine it must be frustrating to ship out a brand new picture perfect unit only to have it damaged before it reaches the purchaser, but I digress. I disconnected one of my lifts so I could use it the same day. started out laying some stick beads on some old rotors with some 6011 that I've had since puberty. (that was last week) I had some difficulty with undercut, but as someone pointed out , hardened surface rotorsarent the best test media. The stinger I'm not too crazy about. I've never used that type and dont really like the way it holds the rod. I'm going to change it soon as my wallet recovers a bit. No gas yet, so I can't comment on any of the tig functions, but I am relatively unskilled at tig welding so my comments ould be essentially meaningless. The torch is plumbed correctly, however so it looks like the QA guys have taken care of that problem. I have had some opportunity to use the plasma to finish up the welding cart/table I am building. When it is painted I will put up some pics. So far I have not had a bit of trouble. Slight operator error in the beginning but after consulting the manual it's all good. It cuts great, I thik the standoff could use some work though. i cut out some 1/8th sheet (mild steel) for some shelves and the top of this table using a guide and each cut looks better that the one before it. that's it for now. By the way, do you guys have stickers or anything? I'd like to stick one on my toolbox.

    Default paint

By the way, if anyone is looking to paint up a cart to match the everlast units, valspar makes a spray paint that is almost identical. It's called garden green 65036. i used a white primer to lighten it up. available at lowes.

If I didn't have to do so much work to clear my cart I would do the same. Will get a couple cans, just in case though.

    Thanks for the info Wrenchtamer
