All I can say is wow! I know Everlast has had some challenges getting product out the door (or into their doors) quickly enough in the past, but obviously not a problem this week. I ordered my PowerPro 256 late Tuesday afternoon, it shipped that day and was at my door by 11am on Thursday. Very impressive.

When it arrived I inspected the packaging and was pleased to find it to be in good shape from the outside. The only deficiency I noticed upon unpacking it was that the cosmetic green cap on one of the knobs had been lost somewhere along the way (not in the box either). Other than that it looks to be in good shape and a well made machine. My only other comment on the fit and finish would be that some of the knobs have a gritty feel to them that takes away from the initial impression of quality but I'm sure there is nothing functionally wrong with them.

This is my first experience with TIG welding, so I don't have anything to really compare the weld quality to, but I had no difficulty getting it strike an arc and after a bit of playing around I managed a reasonably good looking weld on a scrap piece of 6061. A welder friend will be stopping by on the weekend to put it through some more thorough testing and I'll report back with further opinions after that.
