    Default New from N.E. Ohio

    Hi to everyone,
I am from from N.E. Ohio,
I purchased a 250EX and cooler, I had a few issues with my order from the start but Oleg and the Everlast team has made everything right.
Got my new welder on Thurs. and done a few test welds with it so far everything seems OK. I have been really busy and have not had much time to give it a real workout,
I would like to invite everyone to visit my website and see what kind of work I do, this would be easer than trying to explain it on here since I cant type worth a ####.
Check out the "about the artist" section to learn more about me.
and be sure to look through the gallery section to see some of my work.

    Thanks, Darryl

    Welcome aboard.

    Very nice work.

Funny, I have the same (mine are antique) pliers on my welding cart, thought I use them when welding and not the original intent. Mine are a little rusty but they keep you away from the heat.

Talking Hi all, new member too, N.E. Ohio

    Hi all,

I am new to the forum and also from the N.E. Ohio area. I am new to TIG welding (no experience at all, so as new as you can get) so please forgive me if I state the obvious to those a little more knowledgeable.

I had the extremely good fortune to acquire a 250EX with the help of Darryl at http://dcmetaldesigns.com and Oleg. I was able to see the 250EX at Darryl's shop before purchasing mine. Sometimes it's hard to judge just how nice a machine looks even from the best of pictures on the web. After seeing the machine first hand, it has that "quality built" look you can't really see in an image. Truthfully I was surprised and impressed.

I needed a cylinder of Argon so made a trip the following day to my local welding supply store. While I was there, I decided to pick up some spare consumables.

I had brought the torch along with me so the store attendant could select the "correct" parts for it. It was a great feeling when he looked at the torch and told me it was a "nice" one. Then he told me that all of the consumables on the torch were standard Weldcraft. He mentioned Weldcraft either makes or supplies all of the torch consumables for the big "name brand" manufacturers. He told me he stocked all the consumables for "my" new torch because they are the most common and store policy was not to invest in a "slow moving" inventory. That was one of "those" days when I walked out of a store with a nice feeling about my new equipment.

Haven't had the opportunity to try the new machine yet. Between all of the things my wife decides are "my priority", I had to get that list cleaned up before I can have a bit of fun playing around. This weekend I hope I'll be enjoying the new machine.

BTW, please visit Darryl's website http://dcmetaldesigns.com He and his wife are the nicest people you would ever want to meet and their work is stunning, and I do mean absolutely stunning!!!

    Regards to all,
    John S
