The cooler will make a big difference froader,
I had doubts as well about how much it would cool but when you grab the lines they will acctually be cool and the torch head does not even warm up on my 256 when welding at 200 amps when I was testing it out.The cooler has so much pressure in the lines that the torch lines will even jump a little when you turn it on. So I am sold for it being well worth the money. I was going to build one but for the price by the time you get all of the parts together then assemble them price wise at least you still have the warranty and a great cooler.
When mine came to the house the box was wrapped in a few layers of big bubble wrap and not a scratch on the box as well as inside the box.
You will love it , And I am in Florida welding in 95 degree heat and the torch will get hot after 10 minutes at 100 amps but not now.

Thanks for the feedback! That's crazy that the torch is like a water hose with the pressure. I am sure that it's not that noticable. That's fun working, especially welding in the heat. It was 88F here in So. CA near the ocean the other day... I look forward to getting the cooler setup. I quickly thought about a home-made cooler, but like you said for the price, there is no sense in messing around. Besides, I would imagine the Everlast cooler will work much better and it sure is cleaner than anything I could make.
