I've decided to go with 2 ball valves mounted to my cart for the PP256 for switching between air and argon.
I was wondering if there is a certain rated ball valve I should look for?

3/8" should be fine

They have different ratings also some for natural gas, some for fluids, others for "general" and PSI ratings.
My main concern was if Argon could get past the seals.
What I was thinking was 1/4 as the internal passage is larger than what goes into the machine. I have one thats rated up to 250 psi, has a yellow handle, and has 600 GWP and 150 SWP cast into it.
Argon is heavy/dense. It'll sink in air. And its totally non reactive. I doubt you'll have any problem with any material rated for gas line pressure, particularly a metal/brass valve.
