Purchased 200 ACDC Pulsed

Pros:
Light 50 lbs or so.
Pulsed lots of dials.
Digital readout.
Low amps I think I will make an extension cord.
Worked without issue so far.
Big Metal foot pedal you can adjust the max amps on. (Very Happy)
(I thought it would vary the entire range this is a nice feature)
Very Bright Yellow hard to trip over. I think they need to put a smiley face on them.
Did not cost 3000 dollars.
Cons:
Knob to adjust max amps controlled by foot pedal is on the foot pedal.
Giant Tig torch handle.
Kind of cheesy packing (mine arrived ok though)
Ground lead sort of short.
One of the tiny screws that hold on the torch control socket was in the bottom of the torch bag. Lucky I saw it easy fix.
Manual needs a tech writer bad.
Suggestions:
Does not come with 1/4 inch hose or clamps. (Argon to welder)
I had some lying around for some reason.
Would be nice if max amps knob limited foot pedal.
Send a sharp 3/32 electrode and mild steel tig rod so you test right away.
Impressions:
So far worked like its supposed to. More to follow.
Need to get my buddy the welder to come over and test.

I bought one too.

It replaces a Marquette 200 amp MMA machine from about 1920. Can't kick about a machine that last 85 years. Don't expect the new one to last half as long. I do need to learn to weld AL though. Too many projects that deserve a light material.

So far I've only tried MMA, it is way smooth. No bottle yet for TIG.

Lots of control possible on the new unit.

I am gonna miss the 25 foot cord though. Good thing the new one only weighs a quarter of what the old one did. I'll probably need longer cables anyway. Hope Everlast can supply connectors.

Probably will wish I bought the Plasma cutter too, but that would not work on this week's budget. Wish all the rest of you good luck.

We are working on the longer leads and power cords on the next run. We know from feedback, without a cart and in certain environments (crowded shops) this is important.

As far as the lack of plasma cutter. You can always get one later. And as a current Everlast customer I am sure we can workup a good deal. I have my plasma separate from my welder. For me personally, I like it better that way. I have owned both types. The all in one model is less money and has it all (but MIG), separate though, you do not have to flip the gas/air and torches in the middle of a project.
