Just remembered that this web forum was here, and thought I'd check it out. To start off, I am a journeyman tool and die maker. I learned how to weld because I had to, our welder quit and I was the only one willing to try it. I became repair foreman and had to oversee all the fixing, hence I welded a lot! At the shop I used a Miller Maxstar 152, great little unit for most of what I needed to do. But it lacked something for some of the really roughly beat old crappy steels, and naturally we ended up dealing in just that, fixing junk.
Anyway, I recently bought the super 200p unit for in my side business. Although the torch isn't quite as comfortable to use as the size is quite large, I think it otherwise out performs the MIller at the shop. Now, I'm not kidding, there have been three times since I bought my Everlast in the last month that I had to take my own welder to work to get the kind of weld we needed, the kind people want to see.
Now I'm no salesman or paid endorser , I'm just a guy who bought a welder from e-bay, got one that was damaged, returned it, and got the replacement literally all the way acrossed the country in less than two weeks. Now thats the kind of service I hope for.
Oh and the Miller didn't have AC capabilities, or a plasma cutter, or pulse.
So I'm pretty happy with it, for the price, are you kidding me?
Thanks guys for getting me the replacement so fast, I just got caught up on my orders and that welder is keeping right up!
