Thread: PowerPro 205 control voltage?

  1. Default PowerPro 205 control voltage?

Thinking of adding a solenoid activated 3 way valve to control the selection of argon or compressed air for the appropriate process.
What is the internal control voltage for the PowerPro 205 unit?
    Thanks!

Probably the easiest way to do it would be use the TIG/CUT/MMA switch in the unit. Not sure what the voltage is, but you can take an volt meter and check it.

If you are driving 2 solenoids you will need a little extra circuitry to toggle them, but nothing major.

What is the voltage of the solenoids? Are you going to have your own power supply? Send over the voltage for the toggle if you need a hand.

    Thanks Mike...
Simplest just to use a single solenoid valve. Commonly, 12 or 24 VAC/DC and occasionally 120 VAC coils are available.
No problem to check, but thought you would know the unit's power supply outputs.
    Thanks again,
    Steve
