Default snow plow for a garden tractor

This plow started as all flat plate 3/16 thick. I marked out lines and used a cutting disc to cut almost all the way through, then bent the plate over and welded it back up to make the blade. All of the pieces to fab this were laying around my shop. the lift handle was a powerbar that I snapped off last year and just welded a piece of thick wall pipe on the end. You can set the plow in three positions. I tried it out on my driveway and it digs in deep in the soft area by my garage but scrapes really smooth on the hardpack which will work well when the snow flies. The tire chains were also laying around and shortened to fit the tractor, and I made a set of wheel weights up from some 1" thick shaft offcuts and welded a 4" pipe and some threaded rod on to mount them in the wheels

Adding a couple of adjustable skid shoes to each end of the plow blade will prevent those nasty dig in's, you are just in time snow will be here sooner than we want it.

I'm not sure that lift chain will be heavy enough Skid plates would be a great addition and maybe a hinged bar on the back of the blade for back dragging snow from in front of the garage doors would save some shoveling. Nice job! Looks great!
