Can you give a better description of what happened? What type wire were you using? Is it copper coated? Is it birds nesting? Or are the drive rolls slipping? You can remove the liner to clean it out if you need to. Taking compressed air to the nozzle end can purge build up of the flakes of metal and build up. It takes a lot of welding to wear out a liner. I have had mine for 8 years and done considerable welding, with no cleaner/oiler system and it is still good.
However, given your situation, you may not be able to salvage the liner. Have you got any pictures?
Too much oil will ruin the feeding system. Which unit do you have EXACTLY? Is it the green Power I-MIG welder?
