Lucky! Enjoy, I should have went your route and got a 250EX, and a separate cutter.
Good news
I haven't heard yet but hopefully mine has shipped as well
The last 100 went out last night at 10:00pm according to my tracking number. I'm within 75mi so I get mine next day. If you're more than 75mi away then I would think you could expect delivery by the end of next week.
Call Oleg or email him, he should have had some time to catch up on his sleep by Monday. The guy's were turning and burning last week.

Well,
I have a tracking # now that says it should be here Fri
Good to here that Wild Bill...
Mine is up and running after setting the HF points. I ran it yesterday using lift and tested everything then I called Mike today and he gave me the low down on setting the contacts.
I ran several beads on steel and aluminum and the machine performs as well as any of the high priced welders I've ever used. It's much smoother than a transformer machine.
One thing that I'm really impressed with is the low power consumption. I'm running it on a 30amp breaker and I had no problem running it for 4 minutes at max current while I did a inside corner weld on 3/8 5052 H32 Aluminum.
Bear in mind that my 240v circuit is balanced and not everyone will have the same results. Some may need to go to a 40a or even 50a if the 240 circuit is shared with other 120v circuits such as lighting, etc.
I had some fun and was playing with A/C balance and Freq in pulse mode. I could make it smooth as silk or as loud as a jack hammer. You could see the oxidation popping off the metal at one point. That's not something you really want normally but on an old cobby piece of material it might get you through. Pretty cool to have it in the arsenal.
I'm not fond of the torch but I can see where it will be a handy item to have. I did fine with it and the fact that it's a 18 is nice since you can run maxed out and not worry about cooking it. It is bulky and a little awkward to get comfortable with.
I put my WeldCraft 20 Pro with the whip on it and was sweet. But there's no way I'm going to try and make it weld 3/8 AL so the stock 18 has it's place and was a good choice as the default torch for the unit.
I'm going to burn a few sticks with it tomorrow night. I don't think there will be anything too amazing about the way it does that.
So customer satisfaction level is 100% at this point. Time and use will tell more but so far I'm very happy considering the 7000.00 I probably saved myself.

You might find that you are pleasantly surprised about the way the machine burns a rod. I put a new stinger on mine (thanks oleg) but those rods burn like butter. I am an auto tech and sometimes I need to improvise tools quickly out of various stuff aroud the shop and the stick function is what I use. My 256 can burn a 1/16 rod at twenty amps! Try that with your tombstone or bobcat.
Steve,

I am still bouncing around and can't seem to decide on either a multi machine or separate tig and plasma. What are your thoughts?
