I worked as a alloy pipe welder for 30 years and instructed welding at the New Orleans Local 60 Pipe Trades for 15 years. I was looking for a AC DC HF welder that was small but had all the feachers of the biger machines ( creater fill timer, argon post flow, peak current, base current, start curent timer, AC ballance ) I found it only at Everlast, Miller and Lincoln.make small inverta AC-DC welders but dont offer all the fuction that are needed to weld alloys. I bought the 250AC DC and it stick welds and tig welds great even aluminum at high amperage only drawing 16 amps, that right only 16 amps . I set the machine up on a rolling cart with a 50 foot supply cord that plugs into my 30amp dryer plug and it is doing everthing the big 400 Miller Square wave or Lincoln 350 syncrowave did. The price was only 6% of what you would pay for the Miller or Lincoln
