Hose clamps would be my choice for quick repair jobs, you know the ones that seem to be there forever. LOL...
I actually prefer using ferrels. I bought the crimping tool and a spool of hose a while back and I've been building up my fitting box a little at a time. Most of you just get one hose and call it good. I use stationary tanks now and I'm going to be making up a bunch of different length hoses.
I don't think they're all that much better than a hose clamp but they look better.
