The 160 will not support carbon arc.
The 17v torch is what you will need. There is no foot control with this type rig. It is a scratch/touch and weld. Its similar to any plain DC rig.

alrghty thanx you really should tell your webmaster to take out the optional carbon arc for the 160 off the details page about it. also you only list 3 tig torches which one is it? as they have no other details about them other then the small discription

My apologies, but it does say very clearly it is recommended only for the PowerArc 200. Please re read it. We use a similar template for both pages so people can see if they need to select another unit more appropriatley within another page, just as the page suggests: If you want to carbon arc, you will need to go to the 200.
The torch you need is a 17V torch. We do not carry them currently. You can find them on about any site that sells torches. It has a manual gas valve built in. It will need a DINSE 50 connection.
