Which adapters?

Anyone know what I would need to hook up a CK200 Torch to my 250EX?

I was going to buy a torch from them but you just don't exactly what you need, that's why I went and got the stuff in person. save some headache.

Rugar, the Dinse connector is pretty much standard with a side connector for water return to the cooler. The pressure side should match up fine although I did buy the quick connect set at arc-zone just to make it eaiser to change.

The problem you'll encounter is with the gas connector. You can either cut the male end off your Everlast torch and the new torch and put the Everlast on the new one or you can do like I did and cut the one off then new torch and replace the male end with a left hand thread then use a water quick connect adapter. Make sure you label the hose as "Gas" because the reason the left hand threads are used in the first place is to keep you from accidently hooking the gas to the water.

Ultimately I'll be changing the gas connector on the machine to a standard "Gas" quick release and use a gas quick release adapter. That will eliminate all the cutting and patching.

A little confusing but I hope it makes some sense and helps.
Another alternative is to put a gas through bulkhead connector on the machine and then use a gas through Dinse connector. I'm sitll looking for a source for those and I might just end up ordering one from Lincoln.

FYI, you'll enjoy that new torch when you get it hooked up.

that is why I made an adapter hose to go from water to argon fittings, so neither the machine, new or old torch was hacked, all have their original fittings.

I just found the correct male quick connect part on weldingdirect.com. It's not an RH thread adapter so you would have to cut the B type connector off and replace it with the male quick connect. It's not hacking, it's plumbing and is the least expensive solution to the problem.

Arc-Zone has a female to male adapter but it's for the smaller size gas quick connect. I bought one thinking it was the right one. here's the link to the correct one. http://weldingdirect.com/quicmalfitfo.html

You'll cut off your B size gas connector and replace it with this one. I've decided to refit all my torches with them instead of modifying the machine side.

The female side is correct but the male side is too small. It suprised me when I recieved it. The standard air/water quick connect adapter that arc-zone shows is the correct male size but the female side is left hand thread and they don't have the RH one with the same size male end. I looked around but didn't find a RH female to quick connect adapter that fit but I did find the barbed to male quick connect that is identical to what is on the Everlast 18 torch that came with my 250EX. That's what the link I provided points to.

Well, so far so good on my end.


While I have yet to get the power adapter in I did get the gas/water fittings in today.

I haven;t yet plumbed the male fittings into my new torch but did attach them to a piece of hose to do a leak check when plugged into the gas connection on the machine.
