Please, go ahead and call me tomorrow at the number below in the morning. I will give you some quick and easy things to do to get started and up to speed on that little unit. The "jumping" around is perfectly normal. Don't forget you are pulsing between two amperages. The unit "samples" the output at a different rate than what your pulse hz is set to....thus the different and wildly fluctuating pulse settings. Unless you turn your pulse hz down to nothing, split your pulse time 50/50 you will not be able to get a steady and true pulse amp settings.
Its sort of like a strobe light effect. You are only seeing what is happening during the flash or sampling of the amps, and not what happens in between. This is normal. If you turn pulse off, which I highly suggest until your skills develop, you won't see this bouncing.
If you are using the pedal, turn everything down except 3 or 4 seconds of postflow.
