Thread: Order of Posts

  1. #1

    Default Order of Posts

Ive kinda gotten used to it now, but it was really confusing, and probably still is to first timers here, but why is this forum setup to display the latest post first. Its kinda like reading a book back wards.

That is the default so regular members can see the newest posting since they have probably seen the older ones.

You can go in the UserCP and change it (upper left below the thread folders).

It took a while for me to find it also.

At the top of the opening forum page click "User CP".
Then the list on the left side of the page find "Settings & Options".
In that area click on "Edit Options".
About halfway down the next page is "Thread Display Options".
That is where the changes can be made in Thread Display Modes.
    So:
    User CP>Settings & Options>Edit Options>Thread Display Options>Thread Display Modes.

Got it. I should have known that though. DUH! Guess I'm just used to other forums displaying the older posts first by default. Thanks!

I agree, it is VERY confusing especially for a first time user. every other forum is setup to show the original post first and then you read through the progression of the thread. starting at the newest thread took a while to figure out.
