2t.Just talked to mike on the phone and he told me what may have happened.i took it apart about 10 minutes ago and reset the reostat as he said and pushed the pedal down and the rack gear slipped again. The bolt that holds the spring loaded rack on was adjusted a little to tite and was not letting the rack pressure against the sprag gear at all times.reset the rack bolt looser so it could hinge properly and works like flyn now.I have been thrue 4# 150 cube tanks with this welder and am soooo happy with it.A aqaintence of mine runs a custum fab shop called cycle exchange over in Hazelurst Wi purchased the same machine i have AND a mig from you guys a couple weeks ago because i talked him into it(the tig).he likes the TIG but feels that the 200 mig is not powerfull enough.Mike said the 205 is a stronger machine which is probably the one i will purchase after i get a plasma cutter.Any time i have a problem you guys fix me up rite away and i thank you.Have a merry chrismas.

LOL, I know what you mean about knowledgeable sales people. I wiped out Praxair the other day when I stumbled across one of their stores by accident. The guy thought I was nuts until I told him I live 150 miles away and my LWS's don't cater to TIG welders. I spent about 300.00 with him and I'm fully stocked up now.

I use gas lenses all the time unless I'm in a really tight spot. I just makes sense.

Exactly the problem here.can buy wire and tip,s for my MIG anywhere but not easy to get TIG stuff here. Can get most of the less exotic filler rod and standard cups,s,tungsten and stuff but they do not even carry green wheels for my grinder.Next time i take a trip down to green bay(4 hours north)I a am going to stock up bigtime.

I agree, I have a hard time finding them in the stores too. I'm still in good with my old rep from when I ran a tool supply store. He drops by what he labels as samples and keeps me pretty well stocked and I take care of his computers at home. Decent trade.
