I received my long awaited (three months), Power Ultra 205, the promised replacement for a CT520 that I'd had some trouble with, Nothing serious but couldn't get the TIG to work as promised. At any rate I pulled it out of the box and hooked it up, using the manual for the CT520. The Manual wasn't available for the power Ultra 205. My first impression was that this was a much better made unit than the CT520 had been. I first used the TIG since that was the problem I'd had before. It worked beautifully. I then set it up for plasma as I'd been waiting to start some projects that I wanted a plasma cutter for. It cut thru 1/2" like a hot knife thru butter, my project was with 1/8", that turned out really well smooth and relavively dross free. I love the new pilot arc and the stand off on the torch makes life a lot nicer too. So much easier to use. I next set up for stick (not my favorite form of welding) and burned up some 7014, it performed quite nicely and i laid down some good looking welds.
I'm pleased with the 205 and feel it was well worth the wait. Good luck with the new units, I sure like mine
