  1. Default Old Super200p problem

Hello, I sent in an email about one of the transformer inside the welder got burned up, but I haven't heard anything back, I had this communication problem where you guys or I not receiving the email, anyways I am gonna try to get some help here too just incase.

I need to order a transformer coil circled in the picture I provided.

I am having not so good experience with this machine, I don't use it alot, bough it about 6 years ago, only have maybe about 15 hours on it, used 1 bottle of 40CF argon and just started on my 180cf one, so not a lot of weld time on it...

6 years is not to be sneezed at. Age can play a part with electronics failure, not always use. If you received a product 6 years ago and "only" racked up 15 hours of use, then I'd suspect problems related to inactivity. For example go tell a car dealer that you have a 6 year old new car with only 150 miles on it and you are not having that good of experience with the product, and they will tell you the problems you have are from not using it. Dust, moisture and other factors come to play.

Is this our unit or someone else?

Why do you suspect the transformer? Its a part that shouldn't give much issue, and I can't think of a single faulty one we have had in recent memory. What are your problems/symptoms?

We do not take orders on parts through emails for several reasons. Although we may request an email to verify the part you are talking about since this is the surest way to actually "see" the problems.
    1) You must provide payment.
    2) It is easier to check facts.
    3) Any warranty items may need to be sent back for evaluation and this needs to be discussed directly.
    4) Emails, though helpful, and a good back up to other forms of communication, are NOT a substitute for a good old fashioned phone call. You can call me, mike, or ray to discuss the issue, and then the part will need to be ordered from Katya at ext 202. We cannot "order" the part for you, but we can assist in making sure you need this part before you spend major money on this part.
    5) There were several 200P's sold with some variations, so we will need the nomenclature as best as possible from the transformer itself.

I called, I left my number, i am busy, you are busy, can we just do it over email/forum? this is a very valid primary form of communication, especially for a company that sells things over the internet.

i'll sell it for $400 if anyone want to buy this super200p off me, only need that transformer coil to get it going, this thing only got under 15 hour run time on it. i need to funds to get a hobart or something to replace this.

    HoLun,

What ext number are you using? I know I had calls yesterday like everyday. My ext is 203 if you want to call me, I will be in late today though. Leave a message if I am on another line. But ext 201 should be able to take care of you.

Thanks for helping me out by giving support to my welder.
I finally have time to install the transformer, but then it looks different.

Left is the replacement, right is the one i took out of my machine.

will the new unit work with my welder? after i splice the connector from my old coil or its it the wrong unit?
