I already asked about the colors here, I can deal with the bright green for a little while but most of the time I end up turning off page styles if I plan on reading for a while. For some reason the green messes with my eyes after 20 mins or so and I have a hard time seeing the text. The old mozilla 90's look is better for me LOL

If you click on "My Profile" and then on "Customize My Profile" you can change the colors to whatever you would like.

This is correct, and not an added option but part of the software we upgraded too. So if anyone wants to pick their own colors, feel free. I am on the forum for hours at a time and can not see worth a darn (eyes were bad before Everlast) and I have no problem with the colors. Many other I have asked tell me the same. Maybe it is a browser issue, monitor eyes, brain issue. Ni idea, whoever you can change them as Jason pointed out in post #5 here.

Jason, thanks for doing a little looking around and pointing that out. I turned on a second style, but no one could find it (browse refresh was required). So maybe few members that do not like the "green" can just tailor whatever they like this way.

I tried this and the only thing it changed for me was my profile page content. The rest of the forum is still antifreeze green.

And you read post #5 from Jason? Set the colors you like in your personal profile?

When antifreeze is green, I think you are looking at something other than antifreeze. Or the guy that sold it to you let it sit way too long.

Tried it again, same result. Only changes my profile page, not the forum itself. Oh well, just have to limit my time on here to save the eyes

I see what he is saying and he is right. It only changes the "My Profile" page and not the rest of the forum for the person. I did not try this until just now but confirmed it does not change all the pages.

I use quite a bit of antifreeze. It is a yellowish maybe tint of green color to my eyes and nothing like the colors I see on me screen. Oldsmobile has the worst color stuff I have seen.

I will add the other scheme option once more, but you will need to figure out how to turn it on. The color here now are staying until I have time to play with the forum. I have other things to handle right now.

This is the Everlast Welding Tech support forum, not the tweak the vBulletin software forum or run my post count up forum (the contest was not my idea either).

So it is clear "any more negative comment on the colors will be removed". We have customers to help. If you have a problem and the colors hurt you eyes, and you can not flip the default theme on. You need to call in for phone support or email us from the contacts page.

    Deranged,
Look at the locations, these 2 guys are from Florida.
Probably never seen a jug of Prestone. Most is still Sickly Green. Gm has the new orange, My Ford HD truck has a golden colored stuff in it , My Audi is Pinkish, and My Moms new Jeta has Purple stuff in it. None of it is compatible. (well I think the pink and purple are)
The stuff has come along way recently, changed the Audi’s out at 113, 000 miles and it looked pretty good, sitting at 165, 000 now and it’s still bright pink. So whatever they’re doing with it it’s working. Where I’m at it’s not something you can ignore, most of the cars don’t come with a strong enough concentration from the factory for our conditions.
Anyway, yea, I can relate. Parts of the page do look like Prestone. But for me anyway livable.

Well, since there is a topic called "Forum Related Questions and Suggestions" I thought it would be an appropriate place for a question about the forum.

Moving along. I'm guessing rose colored glasses won't help.
