Everlast Welding and Basic Welding: The Good, the Bad, and the important FAQ’s. Part 3
Now that people know that we are a US based welding machine manufacturer and repair everything here in the US, Question 3 often arises:
How long is the warranty and what is the procedure?
With our new welding website since its release, there is an easy access to the warranty information and direct contact forms to technical support emails along with relevant telephone numbers to the department of choice. The current warranty is 5 years on all IGBT (Power series) products and 3 years on any MOSFET products (Super Series, and MultiPro welders/plasma cutters/ combination units) bought since the beginning of 2014, view our Standard Warranty. We offer a 30 day satisfaction policy which allows you to return the unit if you are unsatisfied with the unit. (Subject to restock fee if nothing is wrong with the unit) We also cover shipping for 30 days both ways if anything were to happen to the unit. After the 30 day time period, customers do pay cost of shipping, but pay nothing else during the warranty period. Torches and accessories such as foot pedals are covered by a separate 6 month warranty. To return the welder for repair, the process is fairly simple. First call technical support at 877-755-9353, ext. 207 to advise them of an issue. They will go over a brief trouble shooting session, so be prepared with basic tools and something to take notes when you call. If the trouble cannot be easily resolved, then an RMA (return authorization) will be given along with a RMA number. This number is your reference. Then simply download the RMA form found on the website, fill it out as complete as possible, box the welder up, with the form inside and ship it. That’s about as streamlined as we can make it. We do end up resolving most issues over the phone, so don’t panic if you feel you have a problem. Keep in mind you cannot return a product without a conversation with Tech Support first and an RMA number.
